ABOUT CYNTHIA

Cynthia Alcaraz is the Board Secretary at the Tenacity 8 Foundation. Cynthia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from California State University of Northridge. Throughout her studies, she realized she wanted to be a part of something bigger in order to have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. 

During Cynthia’s last semester of college, she was selected to participate in traveling to Washington, DC for an internship. She had the awesome opportunity to intern on Capitol Hill for the House of Representatives for a California Congressman. Living in D.C. allowed her to experience Congress first hand and the important role representatives and senators have in being the voice of the American people.

In 2018, Cynthia lived in Colombia volunteering as an English Co-Teacher at an all-girls private Catholic School. Being abroad exposed her to the struggles and hardships others face and how important it is to have people who will support you and be willing to help, even if they don’t have the resources needed.

In her role as Board Secretary, she hopes to connect with the youth and develop a program in order to provide them with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools needed to develop a successful career path that is right for them, while gaining financial independence and a healthy work life balance.
